Enid Greene (Waldholtz) (R-Utah)

Enid Greene (Waldholtz) (R-Utah)Claims to fame: Third (and, as of this writing, last) woman ever elected to the U.S House from Utah; vice chair then chair, Utah Republican Party; failed candidate for Lieutenant Governor; bad Mormon; divorceé; liar by Biblical standards

Moral apex: In 1994, then-husband Joe Waldholtz embezzled almost $4 million (from his own father), $1.8 million of which ended up in Greene’s campaign finance coffers. When Joe disappeared for six days before turning himself in, Greene filed for divorce.

Liar? Said she didn’t know anything about her husband’s shady dealings, but campaign workers testified otherwise. (And, as all good Bible believers know, it takes just two witnesses to make a charge stick.)

Suggested Doctrine and Covenants reading for Ms. Greene:

And I command mine handmaid, Emma Smith, to abide and cleave unto my servant Joseph, and to none else. But if she will not abide this commandment she shall be destroyed, saith the Lord; for I am the Lord thy God, and will destroy her if she abide not in my law.
