Between these and the new lawsuit, we can guess why Long canceled his Tom Joyner appearance yesterday morning.
However, while Long’s lawyer has been telling anyone who will listen that Long will speak publicly when he addresses his congregation Sunday, Long has already spoken out, in a conference call with his parishioners — and with the intrepid CBS Atlanta News, which quotes Long as saying: “I have never dealt with anything like this before. I have been under attack before, but everything else has been different levels and different challenges.”
But what’s most interesting is the reporter’s observation that “Never once did Long say he was innocent, but he said the truth would be revealed, and that he is praying for his accusers.”
