John M. Fiala (Order of the Hellbound)
Claims to fame: Defrocked Catholic priest; former administrator, Sacred Heart of Mary, Rocksprings, Texas, who also served assignments in Kansas, Missouri, & Nebraska; suspected boy-rapist & would-be murderer
Moral apex: Graduated from mere mention in ConBab’s Black Collar Crime Round-Up, September 23, 2010, to full-fledged Featured Conservative Babylonian when he was charged with attempting to hire a hitman to off the boy he’s accused of raping (once allegedly at gunpoint).
On top of multiple counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child, Fiala was charged November 23, 2010, with one count of criminal solicitation to commit capital murder: “Fiala, 52, of Dallas, was out on bond on other sexual assault charges involving the youth, now 18, when he allegedly attempted to negotiate the boy’s murder… He was arrested last week after he offered an undercover agent with the Texas Department of Public Safety $5,000 to kill the teen…” [CNN]
“Fiala allegedly threatened to kill the youth if he told anyone [about the abuse] — threats he repeated in daily text messages… and Fiala also threatened to kill himself, telling the teen they would ‘go to heaven together.’” [ibid.]
Plus: The alleged victim is suing Fiala, as well as the Archdiocese of Omaha, the Archdiocese of San Antonio, and the Society of the Most Holy Trinity (Fiala’s order in Texas) for covering up previous incidents of child sexual abuse. “In the spring of 2002, the Omaha Archdiocese received a complaint that Fiala had made sexual advances against a minor sometime in the 1980s. The minor ‘purportedly refused’ the advances, the archdiocese has said. The archdiocese said it notified the Sarpy County Attorney’s Office and Fiala’s religious superior in Texas, as well as the Archdiocese of Kansas City, Kan., where Fiala was serving at the time. No charge was filed.” [Omaha.com]

Suggested Bible reading for Mr. Fiala:
The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
