Utah Mormon Branch President Efrey Guzman Charged with Groping 13-Year-Old Girl, Attacking Her Mom, and Nearly Biting Off Her Brother’s Penis (Wait… Wut?!)

It’s not often we’re at a loss for words, much less surprised any longer by bizarre sex crimes in any church, but this one leaves us — well, “open-mouthed” would be a really, really bad choice of words…

In a nutshell — oh, sorry, we shouldn’t say “nut,” either — Efrey Antonio Guzman, 46-year-old president of a Mormon branch (a “branch is smaller than a ward,” the Salt Lake Trib tells us) in Sandy, Utah, is said to have stalked the 13-year-old daughter of a family who considered him a “family friend.” On May 8th, he showed up at the girl’s house, suddenly grabbed the child, and started ksising her on the mouth and grabbing her buttocks.

But that’s not the story — unbelievably (or perhaps not, considering that Mormon “high priests” are little gods who should never be crossed), the family (ever so stupidly, IONSHO) did not file a police report.

“On Aug. 2,” the Trib reports, “Guzman came back to the house, asking to see the girl again. The mother answered the door, refused to let him see her and told Guzman to leave. Guzman pushed his way into the house and attacked her, ripping her shirt and grabbing her exposed breast, court documents state. When the mother called out for help, her son came into the room.

“As the son was trying to pull Guzman off his mother, Guzman attacked the son, grabbed his penis from his boxer shorts and ‘bit his penis, causing severe damage that required surgery,’ according to charging documents.”

Guzman, who’s cooling his chompers behind bars on $300,000 bail, has been charged with four felonies: first-degree aggravated assault, first-degree aggravated burglary, second-degree sexual abuse of a child and second-degree forcible sexual abuse. His first court appearance is scheduled for this Friday, August 10th.
