Mitt Romney Thinks the U.S. is a Foreign Country

Willard Mitt RomneyElizabeth Flock gives Willard the benefit of the doubt, suggesting that listing “USA” as a “foreign country” on his 2011 tax return may have been a “mistake,” but we side with John Aravosis on the matter: Considering how Romney jumps at every chance to take every word of President Obama’s and turn it into a baseless gotcha, and “considering that Mitt Romney’s family moved to Mexico to escape American anti-bigamy laws, and the only reason they came back to the US was to flee the Mexican Revolution, it’s no wonder the Romney family finds America a ‘foreign country.’”

Mistake or no mistake, “he wrote it. He owns it. And had Barack Obama done this, it would be the only thing we’d hear from the Republicans between now and the election.”
