On March 5th, we wrote about William Steven “Bill” Albaugh (left), the Maryland Roman Catholic deacon allegedly stupid enough to store child porn on his Verizon cloud account. Now ABC2 reports discovering that Albaugh’s son-in-law, 31-year-old Daniel William Garrett (right) — “who angrily defended” Albaugh — is himself a convicted sex offender. Sheesh!

Joseph “JoJo” Giorgianni — the “Quarter-Ton Sex-Offender” who was elected three times as Republican Committeeman for New Jersey’s North Ward after being convicted of sexually molesting a 14-year-old girl he got liquored up in the back room of his Trenton restaurant — is one of those Conservative Babylonians whose story just plain sticks in our collective craw: He was sentenced to 15 years in prison but served only a measly three.
Thus, certainly unfairly but most unashamedly, we’re happy to see him up on charges of anything else — that’s how bugged we are that he’s been allowed to walk around free all these years (since 1985, when he was paroled, having nearly avoided prison altogether; his lawyer argued that his massive, and asthmatic, 565-pound bulk should amount to a get-out-of-jail-free card). It’s been a while since we looked under Larry Craig‘s stall, and it’s still full of exactly what you’d expect to find in an airport toilet. Only there’s even more of it, and it really stinks.
As you may recall, the FEC sued ol’ Water-Closet-Case last year, claiming he “converted more than $200,000 of campaign contributions to his (more…)
Well, at least we can’t call the Catholic cardinals a bunch of hypocrites today — the guy they picked as the new Pope is just as misogynistic and vilely homophobic as the last one.
Actually, we may be wrong about that — this guy might even be worse. While Ratzinger said gays were mental cases (“intrinsically disordered”), we don’t recall him ever saying marriage equality was the domain of Neanderthals. No matter; essentially branding gays children of the devil puts Ratso and this new guy on equal footing. In any case… (more…)

“Projection is the psychological phenomenon where someone denies some aspect of their behavior or attitudes and assumes instead that everyone else is doing or thinking so instead. It is usually seen as the externalisation of a person’s negative traits, placing blame on an outside force such as the environment, a government, a society or other people. …”
