Joseph “JoJo” Giorgianni — the “Quarter-Ton Sex-Offender” who was elected three times as Republican Committeeman for New Jersey’s North Ward after being convicted of sexually molesting a 14-year-old girl he got liquored up in the back room of his Trenton restaurant — is one of those Conservative Babylonians whose story just plain sticks in our collective craw: He was sentenced to 15 years in prison but served only a measly three.
Thus, certainly unfairly but most unashamedly, we’re happy to see him up on charges of anything else — that’s how bugged we are that he’s been allowed to walk around free all these years (since 1985, when he was paroled, having nearly avoided prison altogether; his lawyer argued that his massive, and asthmatic, 565-pound bulk should amount to a get-out-of-jail-free card). We are so repulsed by this story, we can’t even comment. All we can do is give you our transcript of the audio interview with Erica Moore provided by CBSDFW.com (and warn abuse survivors to turn away now — major triggers ahead):
“My cousin at the time, he was 18, my son was 15, and I had walked in the room (more…)

Two videos after the jump.
When the news broke on the 18th that Christine Shreeve Hubbs — the Livermore, California, Mormon mom who plied two young boys with gifts and then had sex with each (the first reportedly her daughter’s boyfriend, and the second reportedly a patsy used to make the first boy jealous when he started pulling away from the shameless old cougar) — had been released from prison and was busted again less than a week later on a parole violation, we had no idea what sort of violation it was. Now, we know — but the parole violation is nothing compared to the rest of the story that’s just now emerging. If this is accurate, it’s almost as sick as anything that’s come before in the Hubbs saga, and highly disturbing. (more…)

Kim John and Francis Philip, Rastafarian “prophets” — sent by God to destroy the demons that “infest” the Vatican — already escaped the death penalty once. Now they (and we) are waiting to hear their fate (their sentences were supposed to come down today, but we haven’t heard anything yet).
Both pleaded guilty last week to slaughtering a nun and a priest and setting parishioners on fire during a New Year’s Eve Mass in St. Lucia in 2000. (more…)

“Sometimes he would choke us, put a pillow over our faces, tie us up, use little chopsticks and knives and stab us.”

We think it’s a tad harsh to sentence anybody to 15 years for launching a mass hair-cutting attack — after all, Mitt Romney wasn’t even reprimanded for doing the same thing, and he apparently did it with his own two hands (unlike Amish ringleader Samuel Mullet) — but then, nobody asked little old us. In any case, here’s the latest, directly from our friends at the FBI: (more…)

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (CN) — The Boy Scouts of America must cough up records of sexual abuse claims made against adults in the organization, a Texas judge ruled.
Lawyers believe the so-called perversion records will help them prove that the Scouts are liable for the alleged abuse committed by troop leader James Hiatt. A Bexar County jury convicted Hiatt of indecency with a child and aggravated sexual assault of a child in 2008.
In a 2011 petition, an 18-year-old former scout, using the pseudonym John Adams, claimed that Hiatt sexually abused him during his time with Troop 41 in 2004 and 2005.
The San Antonio resident sued the Irving, Texas-based organization and the Alamo Area Council for negligence. (more…)

We never did like him. Growing up in the Catholic church during his reign, it seemed like we were always hearing about Cardinal Roger Mahony (or “Roger Cardinal Mahony,” if you want to be all Catholic-y about it) shutting down one parochial school or another for reasons beyond our grade-school ken (although, from the way the adults talked, we got the idea it had everything to do with money). To little Catholic kids, he was just an unfair old poop whose reach extended (more…)
