Ricky, Ricky, Ricky… Either you think you’re too clever by half (you’re not), or you really are so dumb, you think American Atheists is (yes, “is,” not “are”; it’s the name of an organization) was silly enough to pay for a platform to express your impotent dreams of a ca.-14th-century Catholic theocracy.
Either way, Ricky, you are too dumb to realize that every American in his right mind will be scared to death at the idea of a nation under your god. And that includes Catholics. Well, at least those whose names aren’t Bill Donohue. (more…)

Related to the subject of the Catholic church trying to bully SNAP (Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests) into oblivion, David Ferguson at Raw Story sums up Bill Donohue’s latest appalling apologia nicely:

Our friend Wayne Besen caught this hysterical hypocrisy from the hysterical Bill Donohue, head crusader of the Catholic League. As quoted in a column by Maureen Dowd about various hardliners’ hissy fits over Kansas Governor (and moderate, sane Catholic) Kathleen Sebelius’s speech at the very, very (but relatively moderate, sane) Catholic Georgetown University, Donohue sputtered:
