Pot is One Thing, But How is Mitch Daniels Going to Explain Away the LSD Charge?
“Youthful indiscretion,” perhaps? Not that the Repubs let Bill Clinton get away with smoking marijuana — ‘though Clinton was never arrested for it, and undercover cops never found any reason to visit young Bill’s dorm room “eight or nine times.”
Granted, Daniels has never hidden the arrest — but, as Ben Smith notes, “he has typically characterized it as a minor pot arrest, and typically doesn’t [mention] the initial acid charge.”
We have a feeling folks are going to care a lot more about all the dicey details if the current governor of Indiana is serious about running for the highest office in the land: (more…)
