Ironically, a post we made in 2011 ended with this: “Unless something bizarre happens while she serves her sentence, this is the probably the last you’ll hear of Chrissy Hubbs until 2016 — or maybe 2013, if she’s a good girl… for a change.”
Well, she made it to 2013 without warranting a mention from us — but it looks like she just can’t stop being a very bad girl… (more…)
We’re always grateful to right-wingers who save us a lot of time and trouble by broadcasting their hypocrisy for the world to see.
Take Dennis Fauchier of Los Banos, California, for example. He’s a devout Mormon who’s found a long-distance girlfriend through online dating, and seems pleased as punch to sit down for an interview about it with the Los Banos Enterprise.
He’s also divorced.
But here’s the real kicker: Before entering Splitsville, Population Two (six, if you count his kids), he donated a hundred bucks to Proposition 8, presumably in order to preserve (or is it protect?) (more…)
Backstory: “Anti-Gay Alliance Defense Fund Lawyer Lisa Biron Charged with Producing Child Pornography,“ November 18, 2012
The pathetic excuse for a human being you see at left (the sight of which has the same effect on us as syrup of ipecac) is Lisa Biron, lawyer for the professional anti-gay organization Alliance Defense Fund* (although they’re pretending she never was), graduate & board member of Pat Robertson‘s Regent University, and member of the just-as-wildly-homophobic Christian Legal Society and radical right-wing Federalist Society. Backstory: “Caleb Hesse: Another Anti-Gay Proposition 8 Donor Charged With Sexually Assaulting Numerous Young Boys He Met As Church Youth Volunteer,” August 17, 2012
We’ve been waiting for this good news for nearly six months — which is nothing next to the decades of trauma suffered by the victims in this case; we sincerely hope their healing is far greater than our satisfaction in seeing this monster locked up forever: (more…)
Yep, another holier-than-thou who has made a career (literally) and her living from the single-minded pursuit of stopping nice, normal, law-abiding gay couples from getting married…
First, the “straight” facts from the feds:
Woman Arrested on Federal Child Exploitation Charges (more…)
“Maine is one of the most secular states in the nation. It’s socially liberal. They had a three-year head start to build their organization, and they outspent us two to one. If they can’t win there, it really does tell you the majority of Americans are not on board with this gay marriage thing.”
(And we think you think you’re being mighty cute ‘n’ clever by not mentioning any names in order to preserve your tax-exempt status.)
Tim Ruhl, pastor of Proposition 8-pushing, Hate Talk Express church Pleasant Valley Baptist (IFB, of course) in Chico, California — and father of alleged jailbait fondler (and former youth pastor) Jesse Ruhl — says: “You can take it a thousand ways.”
It’s a rare day when we feel the need to post a “sticky,” but this issue demands it. It’s an even rarer day we feel compelled to quote Ronald Reagan: “Trust, but verify.”
First, a note to (almost) everyone who’s been blogging about Caleb Hesse:
CORRECT YOUR POSTS. (more…)
God said, “Heh!” Salvatore Cardileone — a once obscure bishop who ended up becoming the mastermind behind California’s cruel Proposition 8, leading the Catholic effort to strip gay and lesbian Californians of their constitutionally-established right to marry — and who was rewarded for his efforts when the Vatican foisted him on San Francisco in a big, hard slap in the face to those same gay and lesbian Californians (and to everyone who cares about the constant imposition of the Roman Catholic church in secular life) — was nailed at a San Diego police checkpoint. “After the shooting of a Family Research Council security guard, social conservatives wasted no time in issuing blame. … The addition of the FRC to the [Southern Poverty Law Center's] hate group list is why social conservatives are saying that the recent shooting occurred.
“The obvious problem here this: if the SPLC merely putting the FRC (and other similar organizations) on a hate group list and pointing out the organization’s homophobic track-record is enough to induce this shooting, then what about the things that social conservative groups have said about and against gay people? … I submit to you that if the SPLC is culpable for what happened at the FRC, then the following persons and organizations, (more…)
He says: “The bloviating left has come completely unhinged, hysterically and ludicrously accusing me of supporting kidnapping raids on homosexual households to snatch children from their beds. I, of course, have suggested no such thing.”

We don’t normally pay attention to the Amish or the Mennonites — or the Amish-Mennonites* — because they don’t normally force anyone else to adhere to their religious beliefs. (more…)
Left to right: Penny Young Nance, Beverly LaHaye, and Matt Barber. If you have trouble remembering who’s who: The most hysterical one with the worst hair runs around like a demented little girl, ranting constantly that gays are satanic purveyors of evil, while the other two are Penny Young Nance and Beverly LaHaye.
“Concerned” “Women” of “America,” that tired old band of fussbudgets (currently headed by Santorum-loving Penny Young Nance, founded by hair-don’t poster child and Mrs. Left Behind, Beverly LaHaye, and spoken for by the description-defying Matt Barber) who can’t stand the thought of gay people being treated as equal human beings (let alone as actual humans), insist that women have no right to control their own bodies even after they’ve been raped, and who are desperately afraid that someone, somewhere, might be having a good time playing “The Sims” (and by golly, they’re going to put a stop to that, you betcha!), threw its support behind the equally gay-loathing Chick-fil-A (which, incidentally, has been boycotted by the LGBT community for years, not because of Dan Cathy’s recent bigoted remarks nor his peculiar brand of Christianity, but because Cathy’s bigoted remarks finally made non-gay folks [and a lot of LGBT stragglers who weren't paying attention] finally sit up and take notice of the company’s long history of anti-gay activism; here is just one of the latest summaries). Jim Garlow is — as anyone who pays the least bit of attention to maniacal anti-gay crusaders and/or the hate speech that oozes from the depths of their fetid bowels already knows — the pastor of San Diego’s Skyline Wesleyan Church and one of the most visible and vocal religionists who led the war on gays via California’s hateful (and unconstitutional) Proposition 8, and who to this day continues to attack same-sex couples (and all LGBT people, in fact) at every possible opportunity.
